I've worked as a research psychologist, a banker, and an IT manager. Working as a psychologist taught me how to measure and analyze key variables. Having worked as a banker, I'm familiar with financial services and with the issues that businesses in general deal with. Having managed IT for a 14-office bank, I'm familiar with IT networking, hardware, software, and compliance.
Two skill sets were needed across all my prior jobs. First, I managed complex projects from start to finish. Second, I did a lot of writing. Sometimes the writing was for professional publications, sometimes it was to educate other employees, sometimes it was to market financial services. |
